I, like clearly most Americans, am ecstatic that Barack Obama is our next American president. And Obama didn't only win, He embarrassed McCain in terms of the electoral college. In my eyes it was an important move by America, as we needed a strong leader with a strong beat. (unlike McCain's ticker lololololol)
Because I have been becoming quite the insomniac facebooker lately, I couldn't help but check everyone's facebook status after the election. Most were positive, reading something like "Go Obama" or "Do you smell what Obama's cooking". (Ha, its a reference to something different) However I quickly saw the sore losers via facebook due to people's facebook status. A lot of my republican friends called Obama out, naming him a Socialist or even an Islamic terrorist. First off, if you honestly believe that Obama is a socialist or muslim or islamic, I kindly urge you to go take a hike or jump in a lake. Your party lost. Your candidate lost gracefully. Now please shut your conservative yapper and drink some Obama Kool aid (probably purple, obama's favorite).
I could not believe some of the actual comments I stalked out on facebook early Wednesday morning. Here are some of my favorite facebook ramblings from the sore losing republicans:
"those who have money will now have to give to the blood-sucking parasites who don't have jobs with this socialist bastard of a President. And not to mention since he will be cutting back on the military and national security so he can help out the bottom-feeders of this planet, forget me getting on any goddamn plane. "
"didnt really vote but are wondering why people are all happy if their taxes are just going to get raised more?" ( you should of really voted, now pay up mother fucker)
"were in for four of the worst years of our lives with obama here comes denzel Washington secretary of state." (doesn't make any sense but i love this idea)
"I Am appalled by ignorant americans..and is prepairing for a communistic social-facism country"
-Clearly many conservatives have a bad case of the Grumpy Republicans. My advice to all you sad mini GOP's out there: keep your chin up. I know it kills to see a well meaning black guy pouring his heart and soul into fixing our troubled Country. I really hope Palin sticks around in the media though. There's even talk about a Palin Campaign for 2012. Here's some advice If you run for president, Governor Palin: Don't ever talk. Instead just smile a lot, popularize catch phrases, and wink. Oh, and do not develop a hideous fake laugh, a strong desire to wear pant suits, or kankles .
so true. I've been doing the exact same things, and on mine there have been a lot of people calling those that voted Obama ignorant, saying we voted without knowing what he stands for. There are also things like "kiss your freedom goodbye". Mind you these statuses written about Americans being so ignorant come from people with zero college education who watch FOXNews.
ReplyDeleteWell done Jimmy, well done.
i agree, it was appalling to hear obama get booed during mccains speach. Come on.
ReplyDeletea lot of people are worried obama is a socialist or terrorist because of mccain's sneaky political attacks. im just worried that these feelings will make it difficult for our country to pull together or led to an assassination attempt.
ReplyDeleteIf there is anyone out there reading this who may be among the people who have littered their Facebook status' with such garbage; I invite you to get over it.
ReplyDeleteIf you watch Obama's victory speech from last night and still believe that he's going to turn this country into some socialist pinko orgy of baby killing then you're functionally retarded.
I saw a lot of this too. I'm not associated with any party, but I voted McCain on the independent ticket.
ReplyDeleteHowever, in a way I am glad he lost, because as much as I supported McCain, I HATE Palin. In a twist, I'm not really a fan of Obama, but I do like Biden.
However what's done is done -- I accept our country's choice because if MY side had won, I would have expected those who voted for the other candidate to do the same. This is a federal constitutional republic (not a straight up democracy) and as a member of said country I will support my leaders regardless. We are the United States, not the Disparate-States-separated-by-petty-squabbling.
