No lazy Sunday today, instead it was a day for a rad excursion into the wilds of the Oneonta hills. Destination: Table Rock. To get there, just walk up to Hartwick, hang a left past all the dorms, pass the "No Freshman" parking lot, and then follow the trail up the hill, take the left fork and voila, there's a great view. Nice to be on top of the hills for once instead of admiring them out of the dorm room. After a quick picnic it was off to do some more exploring in the woods, and by some fortuitous misstep, the intriguing forest path that we followed led us waaay out on Chestnut Street. No problem though, because we then happened upon one of the biggest antiques extravaganzas I have ever seen in my life. Ever.
Marketplace on Chestnut is three floors of antiquities, some old and some not-so-old. Well worth your time and the walk down Chestnut. There's something for everyone; today's find was a retro-looking clock for $5, though its actual degree of antiquity is debatable. Still, way cool...get out there and check it out.
