Richard "Boner" Stabone, dead at 41
It is with a heavy heart that I write Andrew Koening, more affectionately known as Boner from Growing Pains took his own life after missing for 11 days. It took me many years after first watching the loveable Seaver's to figure out that Mike's best friend was named Richard "Boner" Stabone. Koeing, age 41, was found dead in a Vancouver park by a search party made of friends and family. I know that this is hard on us all. More info here.

Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Read Me
Radio_Vegged and I have decided to start posting our current top lists of what we are listening to. This may wind up being a weekly thing, so stay tuned and learn who your next favorite band could be! Click here to read them, or just click the Music link on the right. We also have our current playlist available, too.
Gold star for catching my stupid, not clever nor funny obscure reference.

Don't forget!

Don't forget to check out the music blog, which will be updated more consistently once I have enough time to review albums. Your next favorite band could be just a click away...
Creeper on Campus

As I'm sure many of you know, there is a 39 year old man, Ray Tylicki, with red hair, blue eyes, wearing ski goggles, and is about 5'5" walking around campus. Be on the lookout, and go away if you see him. He's a creeper.
This is also NOT a picture of him, but he's creepy, too.

OHFest announced, and I couldn't be more disappointed!

Like the title blatantly suggests, I am none too pleased with this years OHFest (April 24, 2010) choices: Jack's Mannequin; a Bon Jovi cover band; some band I never heard of, Lady Danville; and a local band. And yes, while I do enjoy Something Corporate (Andrew McMahon's older/better band), Jack's Mannequin ain't a band I'm incredibly eager to see. Neither are Bad Medicine (the Bonj tribute), nor Lady Danville (who?).
Several weeks (or months) ago, I had posted my recommendation hoping someone would read it and act on it. While they are including local bands to open (a really great idea), they should be getting bands that'll draw more people than the select few who know and enjoy Jack's.
While I always look forward to the fair in town (which I love and is flawless in every sense of the word), the concerts have been a let down. In the years I've been here, we've had Head Automatica (a more obscure band than Jack's), and Eve 6 and the Ataris (bands that hit their prime when I was in middle school). These bands are not big draws, and I regret not joining the board that selects the bands.
But I'm only one person. What are your thoughts on this years selections? Are you happy? Disappointed? Who should we have gotten? I know people read this due to the comments we currently have on the Jason Corrigan post, so what do you think?
